I first saw my car on exhibition at the Earl's Court Motor Show, October, 1968, although I had no idea then that in May 1975 the car would become mine, after it had been exported to Zimbabwe (Rhodesia as it was) by the second owner.

So that makes 34 years - and I'm still madly in love with it.

Towards the end of 1997, when I was resident in Zimbabwe, I wrote to Stuttgart to ask if they could provide an authenticity certificate for my car. I received a very helpful reply from Porsche Classic GmbH in Ludwigsburg, who sent me a "Certification" , after I had sent them documentary pr...

Good to know that you all had such a good time here in Welsh Wales. Although I didn't get to meet everybody and to see all the cars, it was great to get down to the Chainbridge Hotel and to meet at least some of the participants in what was a very successful tour. Inevitably, I can remember very few...

Thanks for the info, Stuart. There is an iron in the fire about that.

And no, Mike, I don't mind at all your putting on the forum the link to the saga about my car - but there is rather a lot to wade through!

Thanks for the info, Phil.
I know that you'll keep me in mind when you have received more info.

BTW, I have two H4 lenses, still in their original Porsche boxes, which I haven't fitted, pending my getting hold of the correct H1 lens, but they'll become available only if I do get the H1.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

I'm looking for a RHD H1 lens, to replace one which is cracked.

A trip down to Llangollen sounds like a good idea to me - I'll see if I can get down to the Chainbridge Hotel on Saturday.

Bringing my 911T out of hibernation.

During the two years since the car returned to this country from Zimbabwe, my 2.0 lt 911T hasn't yet experienced British weather! Hopefully though, that event won't be too far away now, but in the meantime, I'm needing a few things for the car, and I'd appreciate some help finding a source of supply...

New member - second time round

Good to hear from you so quickly -
I am in Denbigh - about 30 miles from Chester?? It's a bit lonely here - I'm not aware of any Early 911 owners in this part of the world.
The car is with Andrew Kirk in Birkenhead.

New member - second time around

Greetings all, I originally registered with the forum during December, 2005, and I remember providing a bit of info regarding myself. Soon afterwards there seemed to be a bit of a blip and I could no longer access the forum (I'm no computer whizz-kid!), and I lost interest and gave up. However, a we...
