Re: OT: 2023 Racing Ridgway
As a quick update, we are at Donington this weekend for the HSCC meeting. I'll be out in the March 742 for two 20 minute races (saturday and sunday) In Aurora Trophy and also in the Elan for the 60 minute two driver Guards Trophy (sunday). Hard to get more different there in driving style, braking p...

Re: Current insurer of choice
Thanks both. I tried three - Hagerty, A-plan and Classicline. On the basis that Classicline quoted £205 and the other two had me on hold for 10 minutes each before I gave up, Classicline have got the business.

Current insurer of choice
Hi all, need to insure my old Caterham and wondered what the current recommendations are for insurance companies? I use Lancaster on the 911, but currently that's a Markerstudy policy and there seems to be some unhappiness with them.
Thanks
Graham
Thanks
Graham

Re: OT: 2023 Racing Ridgway
Thanks Feroz. To finish the current tale of woe, Jen and I went with newly refreshed bottom-end engines to the first FF2000 meeting of the year at Snett. Neither engine was run in, so we did that in the first session. Second session, I got going, times were coming on, engine still not very revvy, bu...

OT: 2023 Racing Ridgway
Evening all, I was chatting with Feroz and Simon on Sunday morning at Ridgway Towers and Feroz mentioned that he's not seen any Ridgway racing exploits. I explained to him that was because it was the most torrid start to a season ever. He said it was still interesting, so here we go. I'm hoping that...

Re: Sewing Club
So I've still not managed to get going with my mats. Mrs R tried her standard machine and that wasn't man enough. If anyone had a 201k for sale, we'd definitely be interested!

Re: How does the thermal timeswitch work
Thanks Angus, that's very helpful and yes I agree it's a system that goes wrong with bad consequences! I have had it apart and replaced all the feed pipes with new. I have also had the squirters out and all have the innards present and they have a surprising amount of back pressure so they are limit...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
After my triumph of getting the squirters to work, I decided that starting would be even better and perhaps safer if all the petrol got squirted in rather than half of it squirted round the engine bay. So with great trepidation I set about changing the fuel hose to the squirters. It turned out to be...

Re: How does the thermal timeswitch work
So I am pleased to report that my work here is done! Thanks to all who helped and especially Andrew whose googling and investigative skills are far better than mine. So with the TTS out, I bench tested it and it worked as expected giving about 5 or so seconds of pass through power when cold. Then I ...
