Re: Drew Pritchard's collection

Seems you pay an extra premium for the ‘patina’ and the DP association..

I completely understand it’s nice to retain originality, but take the 911 out of the equation would we be baulking at the prices if they had had a sympathetic concours restoration or is that sacrilege?

Re: Classic Autowerks ‘Ultimate Shift Rod Bushing’

Jamie shipped the bushings to me yesterday by USPS international Priority Mail so hopefully they will be here by the end of the week but I will keep you informed. Total cost for 45 bushings was $1,045 + $70 shipping to the U.K. = £25.50 per bushing at $1.20 : £1 exchange rate. Postage and Jiffy bag...

Re: When to change oil on the aircooled flat 6's?

For 3 decades now I have used Shell Helix ever since Bob Watson told me to. Is it the best? Goodness knows. Is it the worst (for my engines) goodness knows, but I'll stick with it. Funnily enough it’s also been my go to oil on all the older cars. Just bought a 20 litre drum from these guys for £90 ...

Re: When to change oil on the aircooled flat 6's?

It will be done cold. The last time the 2 engines ran they were stinking hot, esp the Lola's and then shut off so all the hot oil had anything from the engine suspended in it. 4 months to drain to sump for both. I always leave the engine and dry sump tank plugs out until the dribble stops. No point...

Re: 996 Turbos

Nice purchase.

Hell of a car for the money if you get a good one.

If you fancy some rather nice but different wheels in the perfect sizes/ offsets for a widebodied 996 I have these OZ Superlegerra III for sale in unmarked condition.
