Thanks both, that answers that for myself then :) What led me into thinking some data source might be available is when you sometimes see mentioned in a for sale ad that it's 'one of only three cars from that year with that color, with LSD, etc, etc...'. The early car I'm interested in is a '68 SWB ...

Is it possible to know the quantity of cars produced in a model year with a specific color, particular factory option, etc.? For instance, I'd like to understand how many 911s were produced in 1968 with a sunroof in a particular color, how many Turbos were produced in 1993 with a special order color...
