Wheels Up North Event in July
Hi All Just a short post to see if anyone else would be interested in this event, it's organised by 'Wheels up North' and taking place in the south of the 'Lake District' on the 31st of July... As with Total Retro it's at the Westmoreland Showground (right on my doorstep), I'll be doing my best to p...

Total Retro (WestMoreland Show grownd).
https://www.totalretroshow.co.uk/ Hi All Is anyone considering popping along to this on Sunday 14th of May? It was kind of OK last year if you discount the few wheel spinning, dump valve ‘pinning’ Neds who couldn't leave with out showing themselves up… I’ll probably take the 550 along if it’s even h...

Re: Off topic watch chat for the horologists out there
Hi All Just a quick question, would anyone here be able to make a rough guess at the value of a TAG Monaco (Auto) from the mid noughties? It's boxed with papers, in great condition, was fully serviced in August last year (bill available) and a new blue Alligator strap was fitted at that time. Price...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Nice warm day in the garage, so despite fighting off the last round of 'covid' (or whatever I've been blitzed by) decided the time was ripe to oil change the 3.2 in the hillclimb Lola. First event is just 5 weeks away, so time to stir it into action, or at least show willing. It's great to work on ...

Re: Non-Porsche for sale of the day
The Walker car was £49k it was a drophead, the Duckworth car was £39k it was a fixed head. All these plus the Buyers Premium. It was interesting that the “last” Sprint also a fixed head was £45k, without any celebrity tag Hi Mike 'My Bad', I miss-read the walker car as £40K, still plenty of "d...

- The market has spoken! It said don't sell all your celebrity Elans at the same auction Competition for the car with Emm-appeal was fierce setting a world record £146k + fees (estimate £80-£120k). None of the other famous Elans made low estimate. If your teen crush was Cosworth engineer Keith Duck...

Steve McQueen; The Lost Movie
Hi All I may be way behind the times here but Sky Arts showed this (2020) documentary last night... It's well worth a watch, lots of great footage of mid 60's F1 cars, drivers, sports racing cars and even a few Porsche road cars dotted around the pits. If you haven't seen it its well worth a watch! ...
