Diesel has been known to loosen things off?

That and (maybe not at the same time!) heat around the edge of the piston whilst gently tapping it with the handle of a heavy hammer.

I’ve used a similar massive crows foot in the past with success. Can’t remember about the tensioner, but I guess that’s the way.

Do you have the Dempsey book? Invaluable for this stuff

Still plenty of time to get that new alternator on, get the AC pumping and make us jealous for when we get those hot southern mountains
