MFI Help - Professional, that is.

Right folks, I've posted something similar before, but nothing has changed since then; I've finally decided I do need professional help. No, not for my addiction to Porsche, for my porsche itself. I live in Ireland, up in the NW corner. I have a 1975 911, 2.7 which was converted to mfi. It needs MFI...

Thanks John, Just when I had decided I should get an expert to sort it out, now you're convincing me I should just tackle it myself, again ! From reading some mfi threads on pelican, the pipe from the heat exchanger up to the stat can be blocked so no heat gets to the stat. - Should I feel hot air c...

Thanks John. I know that name Mike Bainbridge. From memory I think it was Mike did the PPI for me ! If Mike is in Cumbria, then it probably was. Well, the car goes very very well, so I guess its the right internals ! Only problem I have is the rich running at idle, especially from cold. I did take t...

No idea John. As in CSI Miami ? It was rebuilt in '95 by the previous-previous owner. I'm told it was rebuilt to "RS spec". To be honest, I haven't worked my way through the big file of paperwork yet (in 2 years !) so I can't say what pistons are in it. It does look like it was prope...

Good MFI guy ?

Right, I've finally decided my MFI needs more tweaking than I can do ! My car is a '75 2.7 on MFI (Conversion from CIS) I'm reliably informed that Bob Watson is good on MFI. :| Is there anyone else in the same league I should be considering ? I need someone to take the car for a day, (or 2 tops) &am...

Anyone know who sells an inertia reel that works horizontally like these? I've looked at the Securon site after buying a pair for the fronts but they don't seem to do anything similar. I got a set from "quickfit safety belt services" and fitted them in my '75 911. From memory they were ar...

Update : I finally got around to removing the leather trim behind the seats & on the parcel shelf. I bought a couple of 3-point harnesses locally, but couldn't get them adjusted small enough fopr the kids, so gave up on that idea. While poking around looking for fixing points I found the threade...

OK. Now showing my newbie status ... how do I get at the fixing points ?

Does the parcel shelf come off (easily) to give access to the points I need to get at, or is access from behind the engine, above the strut mounting points, I guess ?

Thanks for the info so far guys.

Cheers,
Declan

OK. Sounds good. I've managed to source 3-point & 4-point harnesses, so I assume I can fix the rear of these in the same way ? i.e. Bolt through the box section ? Do I need a certain length of bolt for fixing ? I'm hoping that I'll be able to adjust these small enough for the kids, otherwise I'l...

Thanks .. can I assume that using a spreader plate under the parcel shelf gives enough strength for that mounting point ?

I had thought it would have to be secured onto the chassis somewhere ?

Cheers,
