Lovely car, welcome. I would recommend Framptons for number plates. Easy to deal with and quality products.

Re: That Vestey car….
Great to see this renovation. I'm following it avidly. Finding out its past is so much fun. When I rebuilt BSC 3B, folk said you have your work cut out there. Too true and you have just as much there but I see you have good facilities to hand. Onto the Celette next? Be interesting to see those resul...

Re: 912 1966 PNK2D
If you have the original door then would the stamped numbers start to help with the VIN. Narrow it down a bit.
45X??? or 35X???. The ??? being your door number - then see if it tallies with anything on 912.com
Just a though. Good luck.

Sold at UK Auction - 1965 LHD 911
I only noticed this yesterday, it was sold in January via Collecting Cars for £126,000 after a Euro195,000 rebuild  https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1965-porsche-911-2-0-coupe-2?fbclid=IwAR2tseL_5X08Sx5ytklOyMre0FSGqKcpPENU5LnSN-VvsWNCu7L7w1-LQVU Beautiully finished but full of errors (and...

Re: 64 65 66 Porsche 911 RHD platform and database
I think that may be a bit difficult. MY 66 is still very early and I think there were only two concessionaires worldwide at that time - AFN for UK and Hamiltons in Australia. I guess there could be a factory supplied car against a private order but....? The Kardex sometimes stated if the car was rig...

Re: 64 65 66 Porsche 911 RHD platform and database
28 RHD 911 were imported into the UK of the 1966 MY type. I do not have information on other countries that may have ordered RHD.
Hope this helps,
Ian

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........
On e-Bay. No affiliation. I cannot post the link for some reason but look for 'Porsche 911 1965 first year of production for full rebuild silver on red leather' Rather a mixture of parts and no body. Can this really be worth 30 grand? Not in my eyes. Ian ____________________________________ 1965 RHD...

Hirschmann aerial for 1965 911
I never asked on here so ... Does anyone have an early manual Hirschmann aerial for sale. It needs to be a four section type measuring just over one metre when extended. Any condition as long as original and usable. Anything tucked away there? Ian ______________________________________ 1965 RHD 911 ...

How old are the brake hoses. They can deterioate inside and not let the fluid return.

Re: New Brett Johnson 'Restorers Guide' Discount
Quick update for those who have not yet received their copy. I have received and distributed the first 14 copies. I expect the balance in the next few days and will get them out as soon as they arrive. The one 'extra' copy has been taken by fcd911. Thank to all who promptly paid and to those express...
