Perhaps worthy of its own thread. Incredible to think they've all been hidden for so long..

Re: Road Bike (Cycle) Confusion

Hey That Cooper is a nice looking bike however having owned a similar spec vintage Colnago I can tell you it was never the best bike for getting out and actually riding - always felt a lot of flex in the frame especially up front with that quill stem. By all means go and try one but at the same time...

Re: Off topic watch chat for the horologists out there

I've just been asked by somebody who purchased an 18k gold Mont Blanc pen in the 60's where might be a suitable place to try sell it. Could anyone recommend me any where around London that could be worth a call?

Thanks in advance

Dog leg 901/914 Shift Knob

Hey,

After a shift knob with crush washer for the 5-speed dog leg 901 gearbox. Either an OK condition original or better yet one of the cheaper copies that were listed on eBay not so long ago

Cheers,
Steven

914 Flywheel Wanted

Hey, Apologies for posting in this section but thought it might get a few more views from 914 owners. I'm after a 914 flywheel as the one I have is quite badly worn with deep uneven sections across the clutch face and Stateside are doubtful it can be saved. After stock or one that has been lightened...

Re: Engine Rebuild

Hey no trouble. You'll have to sift through the links as there is a lot of info out there. It's good to see how people are building larger engines and what stock components they retain. Speak to Stateside regarding your heads. Like I say the Porsche 2.0 heads use the largest valves and are the best ...

Re: Engine Rebuild

Hey, There is tonnes of info out there on building a decent type 4 engine and achieving reasonable power can be quite cheap. I've got a 2.0 engine with Weber 40 carbs, a Eurorace cam, and flat top 914 pistons which puts out 105 hp and will rev to 6,000 -owes me no more than £1000! I'll post a few li...

Re: Dunwich Dynamo bike ride?

I completed this a few years ago! The distance can be a bit off putting but so long as the rain holds off you'll really enjoy it. There are lots of hard core roadies but also a great mix of other people just along for the ride... you end up just going at your own pace tagging onto different groups a...
