Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

Re: Boxster Insurance renewal increase!

It helps if the keyless signal is encrypted better. Problem is, if someone wants a car they will take it, no matter how good the security measures are. Jammers for data logging, in trackers, shielded fully enclosed car transporters................worst still breaking into the owners house to steal t...

Re: 1965 Hillman Imp soon with flat six from a Honda

Brilliant work - not sure if that alternator is not the same one fitted to Suzuki SJ413 and early Suzuki Swifts.

It is also fitted to early Honda Ballade’s - shows the Bosch alternative a 31100-P2C-K01 back referenced to the Mitsubishi part number??

Re: Glass cleaning

The cheaper brand the better, as it has more alcohol then smelly nice stuff in it - but do not get the ones with the granules in it.

Re: Gearbox oil

I think the consensus from most gearbox ‘guru’s’ for the 911/912 gearboxes, is that Swepco is too slippery for the older type gearboxes, and their synchro hubs. Whilst oil technology might have moved on, the moving parts in old Porsche gearboxes has not, so just use what the Porsche original designe...

Re: 1970 911E vs 911T engine differences

From tinternet....... The 2.2T heads are similar to the 2.2E and 2.2S heads (as well as the 2.4T, 2. E and 2.4S heads) in that they have the same valve sizes (46 intake /40 exhaust). However, they have much smaller porting. The T motor has 30mm porting, the E has 32mm, and the S has 36mm. Then someo...

Re: Tyre recommendations

Which makes me think - The Kleber 185/70 will have the same carcass (identical) as the XWX, won't it? In other words, the Kleber 185/70 is an XWX in disguise. There is no way Michelin would have made a different carcass just for the Kleber 185/70 as the tooling would be too expensive. Kleber, the F...

Re: Master Cylinder

There is a larger diameter bore that Design 911 are good at sending out, saying it fits - it does but makes the pedal very hard! So make sure you order the correct diameter if ordering from them.
