Re: Sad news Tony Outridge has passed away.

Sad news indeed. I first met Tony (as Porschons) over 30 years ago and he was a huge help to me when I was trying to source new and NOS for my 911 Targa restoration, all the little bits that were NLA or cost the earth from Porsche. He later went into Porsche restoration from a workshop in Kimpton He...

Re: How hot is hot?

Both my cars run at around 180 - 190 degrees in normal road use. The rally car can hit about 220 degrees on events – hot days. Both cars have Front Oil Coolers, the Targa front cooler thermostat opens at 180+ (that may be a bit low) but the rally car front cooler thermostat opens at about 210 / 220 ...

The Boxster is covered for 12k miles John, is the C4s less miles?
I am with LV - Covered for 5K miles in the C4S, probably done about 1K in the last 12 months with no road trip.

Re: Boxster Insurance surprise

I recently received the Insurance renewals for my daily drivers, the one policy (Mini) had gone up 7% (hey hoe!) but the other policy (BMW) had gone up a massive 21% (following a big rise the previous year). I was advised to try a multi-car option, I had multi-car some years ago but was advised by t...

Oil Tank - 930 107 006 00

Oil Tank – 930 107 006 00 - 930 Turbo (assume 1974 – 1977 as it has a bayonet rather than later screw on Oil Filler Cap?). The bottom 2 small take offs are blanked off which I think increases the application to non Turbo models. Includes Sender and Filler Cap. Has been repainted at some time (I thin...

Re: Handbrake advice

Hi Graham I spent a lot of time dismantling, adjusting and readjusting the handbrake on my rally car with very little success. I wanted – a short travel handbrake lever and (if I got it right) to be able to turn the car on the handbrake even on dry tarmac. I fitted new Expanding Bows x 4 (911 352 09...
