Not particularly easy on a type4 head.
They have very limited capacity for fly cutting the cylinder register on the head. Instead you need to weld up the combustion chamber & rework it… or buy billet heads (££££)

Re: endoscope for iphone
Have one of these.
Mark the orientation of the camera on the outside with a bit of tape or something. It’s easy to get completely confused given the worm’s-eye view!
The LED light & focal length can be quite short too.

Re: 4 bolt cv joint
You’d need an expert to confirm but I assume you can replace a -71 108x40 CV with the turbo version
Lobro turbo CVs are about £80 each

Thanks everyone for your comments Jonny what are the pizza flaps? Also not sure what you mean by cotton reel Other than that I’m favouring the rear arch mounting - other than the space issue, even with the arch liner in place it has a bigger opening to the air than the front horn grill Google “cott...

You’re not wrong. For some reason HT M7 bolts are going for daft prices on eBay. £10 each or more.
Crazy.
They’ll be sitting on the shelf in lots of places but just a case of finding where

Just use hex socket head bolts for now as a temporary fix and look out for a 2nd hand caliper?

Re: First car ideas and advice please
My wife’s niece had an Audi A1 in her teens. There seems to be loads available, if the reliability & insurance stacks up? Should have enough “cred” for a fussy teen. My brother bought & lightly restored a Mk2 golf for his 17yo. To slow to get himself into trouble was the theory. Not sure I’l...

Also, if anyone has a damaged cam of this spec with at least one measurable lobe, please let me know.
