Thanks for this - I don't like the 3 outlet thing though - that's the one KS has on his black baboon. To me it looks like neither one thing nor the other. Just my opinion though.

Just spotted these pics - can you tell me where you got the coool exhaust from? Also:-

1. Is it a lot louder than standard?
2. Any idea if I could get something similar to fit an 87 3.2 carrera? (backdated)

Thanks for your help

Cheers

There's a guy on ddk that does the necessary brackets for the boxter adapters - I think it's Rod somebody (just checked - it's Rod) - he does the suspension strut braces - he was at Husborne on Saturday next to me - currently working on his own backdate project. I think from memory he was charging £...

No jean I've still got the grill. The good news is I also bought a chrome/alu one myself, so I'm looking to sell the black one.

I do need to work out how to fit the chrome one - it's only got holes at the moment.

More progress - it's a bit at a time now though. The main thing is Simon's been working on is shaping up new pieces to go forward of the rear arches, and surrounding the torsion bar hole. Firstly there's some corrosion in there which he's going to cut out and secondly the torsion bar cover is a mess...

Hi Jean, You have a PM with detailed pics of the rear bumper - didn't want to clutter this post up with too many details bumper pics (rivetting though they are..) Have you thought about GRP bumpers? Don't know if anyone does them but you'd save quite a bit of weight which has got to have a good effe...

Jean,

If you're still interested in that rear bumper I've got it off now and it looks pretty good. I'll try and post some details pics tomorrow

I think they're reasonably priced - unfortunately I don't know how much it's going to cost!! About 6 months ago I had them do me a quote for a full respray. There will be extra work involved because of the backdate, but not a massive amount - the original wings & front bumper were knackered anyw...

That's a good policy - if you don't look then can't be there. My Grandad had the same attitude to hospital - he refused to go there even when ill because that's where sick people went so if he didn't get then he wasn't sick. Used to think this was daft logic until all the MRSA stuff started to happe...

Thanks Tim - I think the same. I'm just getting a bit fed up driving a Nissan Micra every day.

I'll stop whingeing now.

Progress has slowed down a bit now they've started sorting out the various bits of corrosion. Here's a repair made to the front screen corner. They've said they are going to lead-load this prior to priming etc http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a314/markslade/DCP_1336.jpg And here's what they've cut ...

Thanks for that - out of interest what colour glass should I be ordering if I want it to look like a 73 model - were they doing green tinted windscreens then or would it have been clear? The early side windows I've bought are green, as are the later ones I'm taking out. Anyone knows this please let ...
