Re: Off topic watch chat for the horologists out there

It’s been a different ‘world’ for modern Rolex last 5 years. Demand rocketed as everyone thought they could make money on them, a 1000 new ‘dealers’ entered the market pumping up prices between themselves and supply could not cope and authorised dealers used the opportunity to sell more stuff they’d...

Porsche ranked least reliable car

Jason,Barry with 904 in andover uses the brass tubing as well as NB.The ends can be resweated back on also. Re: The cost of filling up your car ...

Just wait until all the free taxes and incentives to currently have electric go and they start taxing them through the roof when they realise they are using up so much non renewable energy to run the bloody things and the volume of mining for batteries cant keep up anywhere near whats needed to prod...

Re: Ken Block's latest video...

The best thing about that video is the Dead Kennedys playing the closing credits!

Nice visuals but by god electric cars are dull as dishwater to listen to.

Mind you I find the making of the Hoonigan films usually much more interesting than the actual finished product. Hope they do one of this…..

New Car Woes - 1...Update

Just curious Jason, but from the info on the thread, Alan stated that the job they did (a braised repair) was not the bodge you found (rubber hose bridging a 3" gap). Have any more facts come to light to support the actual turn of events? That’s the only repair to the pipe in the sills Graham....

Re: New Car Woes - 1...Update

Another factor - I assume the leak came to light after the restoration, at which point they may have been in the same boat as you now, having paid top dollar and not wanting to throw good money after bad. Still, whoever's to blame, it would be a lot better if knowledge of that bodge had passed alon...
