Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

The family in that car look like most of the tourists coming down to Cornwall: sitting in the middle lane and looking anywhere but at the road ahead! Having just done the 600 mile round trip for a week in Bude - god this pi$$e$ me off, especially on the 4 lane sections of the M25 when they si...

Re: Car cleaning products?

I have used Zymol for a few years, does a pretty good job and is available from Halfords. I am currently trying Dodo Juice Born To Be Mild. Doesn't smell as nice as the Zymol but cleans reasonably well as far as I can tell so far. I am not a detailing freak, but a good wash, clay, cleanse and wax a ...

Re: An E-piphany!

Great real world thread, watching with mucho interest. I am changing jobs shortly moving into the congestion charging zone with a 35 mile each way commute and one of these is an option. Public transport is going to be around 5 grand a year, so just need to get my head around the economics.

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

Back in 2002 when two boats collided in the North Sea. One was full of new BMWs/Volvos. Not sure if this is that one, or another. My friend in the USA had been waiting for six months for his new M3 – guess what happened to it! The Tricolor - delayed the arrival of the XC90 into the UK, you may reme...

Re: Road trip play list suggestions

Anything but reggae. I just don't get reggae. Ska - yes, reggae - no. Pop, rock, soul, funk, metal, indie, dance, rap, R&B, rock 'n' roll, old show tunes (yep, my guilty pleasure) etc all get played depending on my mood and where I am going. But not reggae. No.

Re: Classic LeMans Blog

Must be a real expensive paint job on the 964, from some angles it almost looks as though it has faded or is about to fall off ;)

Have a great time everyone and big respect to the guys (and their helpers) who have got their cars sorted just in time.

Targa saggy bottom...?

Having been lucky enough to attend Barry's welding/bodywork course earlier this year and having bought sheet metal and a welder, I am slowly gaining in competence (or incompetence - what a difference a space can make) and will at some stage need at least some kidney, sill and lower a-post work, whic...

Re: Insurance - any suggestions?

Just moved my insurance from Footman after being with them for years. Fed up with schemes keep changing (suits the broker, not the client) and cover diminishing. Insured with Lockton. They have some tie up with PCGB, worth a try.

Good luck

Re: creeper

I bought a creeper, padded and converts to a seat last year. Spends all it's time leaning against the side of my bench. I still use my old high density foam pad bought from Halfords years ago, it's just much easier to get out and use. The one a lot of the mags recommend is the bone creeper - 80 quid...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Went to collect my bits ordered whilst in US last week from the delivery office, only to be told 'they're still at the depot'. "Stop sending me helpful e-mails telling me they are here then!" Try again Saturday morning. Did some reading up on the recirculating air valve. Probably ne...

Great work Mark, almost tempted to get rid of Bentleys and just use this thread as a reference. Keep it up!
