Re: Harry’s garage update - junk ‘genuine’ parts

When I watched the update - I thought that considering he had spent a lot of serious money with a number of specialists they had returned him with faulty cars blaming the parts. For example - I would have expected a specialist to spot that the new rotor arm wasn't the same size as the one he was rep...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Sounds like the car had dropped into it's sleep mode, my 997 would often do this.
Good news is that the PSM failure warning is because the battery was removed, should self clear within the first 100m of driving the car.
Hope you get the glass adjustment spot on - should be quite simple in the end.

Re: Tracking 911818 case for my rhd ‘67

I take it from the CarandClassic that the car is up for sale.
Is that you selling it or have you already passed it on?

Re: The Manhattan Project

Having not modified or tinkered with the car for some time, I was getting withdrawal symptoms. One issue I wanted to address was the smokey start-up whenever I left the car unused for too long. Now I know the simple solution would be to drive it more often, but that's not really happened this year. ...

Yes I believe so, I don't think anything else attaches there - although its a few years now since I fit mine.

Re: Engine Carrier

I'm pretty sure they are normally two M10 x 40mm studs to secure the bottom of the carrier plate.
If you look on the engine case drawings on the PET guide they are shown there.

Re: Engine case machining

I took my magnesium case to Canford Classics (Winterborne Kingston - Dorset) back in 2015 - not too far away from you. At the time I was happy with the work and all reasonably priced. Not sure what services they currently offer but I had the following work done to the case alone. Supply and fit case...

Re: 912 Rear Shock Absorbers - any difference SWB/LWB?

It is also worth checking the size of the bump stops supplied with the Koni classics as the ones that came with mine were incorrect and needed modifying. My car would crash badly over speed bumps and potholes until I read another post which made me realise the error. More details here on my earlier ...

What's it worth?

No it's not a car valuation thread - but I have notice a number of copies of the following book for sale at what seem crazy prices. It is the 50 years of the Porsche 912 book by JURGEN LEWANDOWSKI https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52418900864_9e6ebe211b.jpg Anyone know if this particularly rare or...

Excellent news - hopefully you can enjoy the rest of your holiday!!

Still think the title of the thread should be 'Bardsleys Eat Northern Europe' - need more car photos and less food ones ;)

Bosch black coil for CDI 0221 121 001

My workshop tidy up continues as my house move gets closer. I have a spare 0221 121 001 black Bosch coil for cars running 3 or 6 pin CDI. It is a proper made in Germany one ! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52354770999_88c660ac95_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52354694718_c2ec530350_b...
