Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......

I think that the holes don't actually prevent cracking, just prevent the cracks from propagating further!

Re: What shift coupling ?

From my experience of replacing here, the standard ones are completely fine!

Re: More scary cr@p from DVLA

Just on a quick diversion, same topic. I assume that changing engine size on a V5 from 1600 to 1700 isn't going to invoke any daftness from DVLA?

Yes indeed. Having several cars and doing a season's racing across them means the maintenance cost is spread so in theory same cost as running one for a season.

Re: OT: 2023 Racing Ridgway

Big end and block and the wayward piston has caused some havoc at the top too. So there will be some reusable bits, but mostly new. Big bill!

Re: OT: 2023 Racing Ridgway

Having had a big think overnight, with the prospect of a wet race in the lotus tomorrow I've decided to call it a day, mojo has departed.

Also I'm going to take the rest of the season off while I rethink.

The highs and lows of motor racing!!

Ah yes the ever reliable lotus!

And yes Graham I am at the very end of my tether.

Let's hope the lotus makes it to the end of the race on Sunday.

Re: OT: 2023 Racing Ridgway

Well first update of the weekend and it's not good. The March engine has a hole in the block, so no more pay in that this weekend.

Just the elan to drive now.
