Re: Chris Harris and the Tuthil 911

The bottom line is that Tuthills built this to the customer’s spec. It’s his choices of trim, colours and, yes, even the length of the hydraulic handbrake lever. The man who pays the piper calls the tune.

Mechanically I think it’s fabulous, the style is that of the owner, and who am I to differ ;)

I like (as Francis comments early on) the fact somebody could just walk past it and say 'that's a nice early 911'

Richard will be chuffed to hear you think he's his dad ;)

Re: Gearbox oil

If it’s a Quaife ATB then the EP90 is fine, if it’s a plate diff then the B373 as Alan mentioned. Though I have heard of B373 being recommended for the ATB by THE ‘box guru

Simon next to us is from Ireland. He has had this car for over 30 years. A few cars in the French National Championship have been going off the road but never nice to see a car come back like this https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230603/324db6cc0138eae0f22355c393ec118e.jpg Sent from my 22011119UY...

Re: Porsche 2.7 tuning parts

The MSD 6AL-2 is a mappable system so you could use it with a locked dizzy. However with the not so fantastic £-$ exchange rate get these from the US is not as attractive as it once was. However, I have now bitten the bullet and spent the extra dosh on the Classic Retrofit kit, which is very good, a...

Check that your main battery lead to the starter motor is tight, I had a similar issue and that’s what it was. The starter was working fine so I didn’t think that was the issue
