Re: KS's hillclimbing odyssey

It wasn’t exactly cheap to have my heads machined for bigger pistons, big valves, bronze guides, reworked, flowed and polished either! And that was 20 years ago. I should imagine the adjusted price of that is knocking on the door of £2k now The car looks great in its new paint Keith Sent from my iPh...

Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......

Both left hand drive….

Looks like the car in the pic has a chrome door handle, but am only looking on my phone so could be mistaken. Any other ‘spot the difference’ features?

Good spot - I think we are both right, because that looks like Mike’s old chatreuse RS in front of Gary’s …..

I agree - it is a £200 repair at best

Re: What to do about the 914 Dent?

A number of invisible repair companies have their own paint matching analysis guns and will paint it on the drive. They won’t warranty anything where rust has taken hold in my experience, but you can treat that first and leave them to blend in

Re: 1987 3.2 Carrera Backdate project - Sladeys hotrod

Here is a pic of my Tiptronic aircon condensers- they match the rad size and are pretty big (sorry bumper on and car finished so can’t measure) but would say prob 12-14” square. However, agree two smaller ones could work in the confines of your arches https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240111/955479...

Re: 1987 3.2 Carrera Backdate project - Sladeys hotrod

Is there room next to the gearbox? It gets quite a lot of air, can be easily ducted and easier to plumb the pipework. I ran an oil cooler next to my albeit smaller 902 box in the 914/6 and it worked well

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

I wish Graham! That said, I was recently tempted by a space framed imp with a fibreglass body….

The DFVW was all steel - but still a race car wearing a saloon body.

Forgot yours had the Ghia body - mid/remembered the Skoda detail

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

The DFVW - a concept not dissimilar to Graham’s Lola when it ran the Skoda Rapide body. This was evidently built on to the chassis of Alain de Cadenet’s ex Le Mans Duckham Special. Love it https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240109/48dfceafb13a3b25d79151e3f627e452.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Right hand drive too - a rare thing. Would give a useful body part for a razor edge like that. After a month of illness spent a rare few hours in the garage- a bit of planning and measuring for a secret race car project, and replaced the throttle cable on the Tiptronic.
