Re: First car ideas and advice please
not much to add to this, but on Facebook Market place, has anyone noticed the amount of scam adverts on there? I've stopped looking because the number of hijacked accounts with cars just under the asking price, or crazy cheap, means its difficult to see genuine sales. Doesn't happen on AutoTrader.

Re: Audi TT, any comments?
bit late to the party on this one. I've got a 2005 Mk1TT 1.8T and an early 2.5 Boxster, so easy to compare them. I do think the looks of the TT are going to make it a future classic, however when you drive it, its obvious its a golf / A3 underneath. Don't get me wrong its fairly quick and handles we...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Went on a charity drive on Sunday called the Distinguished Gentlemans Drive it a global event for pre 1980s cars raising money for men’s health. Some really interesting cars and a good Porsche contingent https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230926/a5c0dee741aac5717ce6876966d9686a.jpg Sent from my iPho...

Re: Which Tyre??
I think '76 912E cars were originally equipped with 5.5J x 14 wheels so I'd keep those. I think the OE tyre size was 185/80 R14 (185 HR 14) I have the originals on, they are 14" fuchs. The issue is tyre availability and extortionate cost of anything that isn't a van tyre. Hence I am going 15's...

Re: Which Tyre??
Hi Andy, I did have a look and it said min 5" max 6", but I am open here to personal recommendations. what was the 165? 165/70?Lightweight_911 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 12:43 pm .
Personally I think 195/65 tyres would be a bit too wide on a 5.5J wheel - I'd go for 165 x15 or 175/70 x 15 ...
.
Thanks

Which Tyre??
Sorry about this as I know this has been done to death, but........... I currently have 14" Fuchs on my 912E and have decided to change the wheels. I was originally looking at 15" steelies and bought a couple off here, but I have now had a change of plans and am going to buy some gas burne...

Re: Megaphonics 23 | 5th Anniversary Edition
Also get Keiths point on it being a bit static, it very much was,,,,very cool but a bit sterile. Be great if they could find a way to perhaps have a curated / managed demo of cars. Not some random with a roving mic but I wonder if they could create some form of ‘live’. Be great to hear some of the ...

Fantastic job, £25 subs paid with for the keyring / sticker. I must be being thick, do you want a SAE sending for those ordering keyrings? Thanks

Re: Megaphonics 23 | 5th Anniversary Edition
I had a 3 hour drive to then be met by a 45min queue. Not what I needed! However I perservered and really enjoyed the event. I can't think of another event in the UK where you will see so many aircooled Porsches together. Frank did a good job and to me its emulating LuftgeKuhlt in the static display...

For Sale - 123 Dissy for an SC
Thought this may be of interest, Ned is very well known in the VW scene and a genuine guy. But obviously this is not related to me in any way so contact Ned directly if you are interested. I was going to put it on Impact Bumpers, but you can only put sales ads for items you are personally selling ht...

Re: De tomaso Pantera
Hi james, Sam Lander had one at his workshop in Malton when I was there a couple of months ago. The owner was looking to sell it, it wasn't mint but sounded awesome. Think he wanted around £40k from memory. If you friend is interested I (or you) could contact Sam for details. At least he is N Yorks ...
