Re: 356 International Meeting Belgium 14-17 May 2015

Thanks Mike. Well you look after mine so you know what it's really like! Since Paul worked his magic a few months back it's running best ever..! I'll try and get approval from SWMBO - I'm away a lot this year with work, so fingers crossed!!!

6V/ 12V battery conditioner

Quick one - any recommendations please on a good battery conditioner, ideally one that can do 6 and 12v batteries (if such a thing exists?). Had a good CTEK 6v before but lost that when the garage was cleared/ demolished!

Re: 356 International Meeting Belgium 14-17 May 2015

I'm asking because I know some in Porsche Club GB were a bit snooty about LHD 356s, especially non-mint ones.

Re: 356 International Meeting Belgium 14-17 May 2015

Is there a particular rule on this - e.g., are they only really looking for mint cars? My A is tidy enough from a few paces, but starting to show a bit of rust. Would I be an outcast?!? :)

Re: CLASSIC 911 ROAD TESTS

Great thread! I'm desperately trying to find road tests/ any written material about the 1968 911, 2.0 T. I can find articles about the S, but the boggo T seems less well covered. I understand the ultimate appeal of the S, but I'm pretty sure that the T was the preferred model when it came to rallyin...

Re: Getting on the ladder

PRS have looked after my 58 3456A since the day I bought it, about 7.5 yrs ago. It goes there each year for a service, and when funds have allowed I've improved it along the way - new shocks, new clutch etc.. It runs brilliantly and I wouldn't go anywhere else :)

Thanks for sharing that - very interesting. There was a good interview with him in MotorSport a month or so ago - great read.

Re: What's a 356A like to own?

The usual great advice from Roy - balanced and well put. I have a 58 A, which I've owned for 7 yrs and will never sell. It puts a huge smile on my face! They are so fluid along a good country road - just perfect. Make suer the carbs are properly set - makes a huge difference as I have recently found...

Anyone used Historika?

As it says really? I'm going to take a drive up to see them some time in the new year with my SWB, just to have a nosey around and see what kind of work they do. I have a yearning to do some mild rallying with the SWB (probably not for a couple of years due to work/ family commitments lately), but i...
