Re: Classic v 996 S?

I had one of those. A terrific road car. A rubbish track car. An epic sound track. I had to abandon it in Geneva after a summer hol in the alps thanks to a puncture and fly back the following week to collect it. Didn't fancy the 600 miles home on leaky tyre. I think I did Geneva to Balham in 9 hours...

Re: A whole new thing.

Thanks chaps. It's a folding carbon fibre hardtop. Takes 19secs up to 19mph. Like all of them it's the best of both worlds, v quiet when closed. You can drop the rear glass roof up or down for air and a bit more noise. You lose the shelf behind the seats common in this type of car layout, but, you c...

Re: The Autokennel S

I know what you mean. But then that's me judging by today's standards and the luxury of my own car - originality is sought by many in this market which is undeniably supported at this end by investors. But then, there are the drivers (its also possible to be both!). For example look at the growing h...

Re: A whole new thing.

Very nice car the 12C, I spent a great day with one when they were launched and was very impressed by the ability. More recently tried the 650S ...... oh Lordy!! Great choice of cars. Thanks. I understand the 650S is a step up in several ways. But also in price. They can be bought new with signific...

Re: Xenon HID kits

I think all the relevant info is in this thread including some views on HId and other LED type bulbs. It was a simple decision for me- lights that work properly and legally are worth the money. (I think I paid nearer £500 from memory) http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52440&am...

Aero max = bugsy Malone cool with German V8. There must be a better way than the mini headlights tho? Sorry, Mini.

Re: New Member!

And not an MG midget in sight but quite a stable. Lovely. Welcome to DDK. Now most importantly, what do you want to buy? Don't be coy. Robert Barie has a lovely green car that would set off the burgundy and red rather well.

Re: Classic v 996 S?

If it were me I'd be keeping the skoda. Having one modern, reliable, relaxing, Teutonic car is in my opinion an essential vs the rest of them which will all be compromised in some way. I'd take a cayman over a boxster tbh. And another spanner in the works. What about a BMW Z4 M car? Coupe or tin top...

Re: 911 s red shroud

If you have an original one for a 2.2S and were able to sell, I need one to replace the replica fitted to my car.

As per this thread with pics of the right ones.
