Re: 356 big European Trip
I got up about 7am and did my first run for a while. I think this was to make up for the very strange Jazz concert we went to last night. The Budapest Music Centre is a great venue with reasonably priced food and good seats for everyone. We got the last 2 seats available. On different but adjacent t...

Re: 356 big European Trip
Well interesting two short Opera's often performed together. I had watched before about a month ago but much better singing and staging this time. Cavalleria started with a real horse on stage! Now that is brave. Pagilacci was obviously the inspiration for one of my favourite Queen songs. It's a Har...

Re: 356 big European Trip
So far Budapest has been fantastic. Tonight to twisted Jakki's arm and we are at the Opera. About the same price for a modest seat at the ROH as a private box here. I started the evening with a healthy bowl of Rooster's testicles! We also had an excellent food tour this morning. The guide was every ...

Why do you suspect lack of compression? You to have gone from too tight to too loose?
PS congratulations to getting this far.

Re: 356 big European Trip
6 hours of trouble free motoring (long may it continue) and we are in Budapest. Eating Poke Bowls. At London prices. A very interesting mix of history and new Jazz on a boat this evening. Let's see where the evening ends this time. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240418/0ad37d0e8c5c9e992cc6ad63b0...

Re: 356 big European Trip
AK47 and Glock. Am interesting experience. The last time I shot a gun was over 40 years ago when I lived in South Africa. To honest I wouldn't do it again. I found the power something I don't wish to have. Yesterday during a boat tour we were reminded that unfortunately Prague had it own shooting ho...

Re: 356 big European Trip
Well Prague has been very cool so far. Oil pressure connector fixed. 3 idle jets cleaned. The 4th one was a bit of a pain to completely get out so I left it. Indicator relay bracket tighten. On the first night the medieval banquet was good. Last night got a bit messy and ended in a James Dean themed...

Re: 356 big European Trip
A cruise on the Rhine today. Followed by a cable car ride up to the Fortress. The restaurant we eat lunch at had water marks showing the high of the Rhine. Whixh was, in recent history 1993. After using Google translate it appears that was the building's purpose. Originally a crane but now a level h...

Re: 356 big European Trip
4 uneventful hours of motoring and we arrived at Schloss Stolzenfels. I know how interested Graham is with MPG. I think I got about 200 miles on 27l/6 gallons. I'm not sure I measured that correctly because it implies 33mpg! I will check and report back. The smooth roads certainly help. Like went we...

Re: 356 big European Trip
We are off and on the Harwich Ferry. The adventure started 10mins from home. The oil pressure light started flashing but the gauge said I had lots of pressure. I pulled off and swear a lot fearing the worst. However, when I opened the engine bay I was reminded of a temporary fit I had forgotten abou...

Yes. Just drop one onto the dirt and don't take it straight on. I've never had an issue but some of the lower buses make a noise!

Re: tuning a 911 with PMO Carbs
I have a hot 3.2 on big PMO 50mm carbs, twin plug etc. For the final tune I used a very local RR who deal with about everything 4 wheeled, modern to classics. They are in Dudley West Midlands, so no good for you. Bainbridge would be a great choice i think. Many are put off by PMO carbs, but one the...
