165VR15 tires for 1968 911

Hi in 1968 the low profile tyre hit the streets. Dunlop did it with the SP Sport Aquajet on a Jaguar XJ6 and Pirelli did it with the 911 and the Cinturato CN36. the problem you have is that any 65% profile you buy will have a completely inappropriate carcass structure for your car. old weird small volume tyres cost more to produce.

generic modern current carcass structures in generic current sizes are cheaper to make and distribute

Thanks KS. Some more facts I've learned recently: Michelin classic brands (XWX, XAS, XVS, etc) are made in Serbia (outside the EU) Pirelli (CA67, CN36, P7, etc) are made in Turkey (outside the EU) I'm afraid thats life these days. i was Sad when Dunlop stopped making their historic tyres in the UK....
