Re: Hill climbing class for 356a?
Prescott / the local Rotary Club used to run an Open Classic event mid-May where you do a couple un-timed runs up the Hill (and could buy extra). No safety equipment or modifications required and you could go as fast as you dared, entry fees to local charity. If they still run it might be a good tas...

Re: One for the Mods on here
That looks like fun! Did you see this one? Seems the Soviets were busy scooting round Vladimodstok on these during the Cold War https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-Vjatka-WP150-scooter-soviet-copy-of-Vespa-GS-150-Lambretta-Vyatka-/193554898931?nma=true&si=7izhFRUamTgsYegq2ycmpjpO168%253D&orig_cv...

Re: Issues with early seat rails?
Hi Aki, I've had this problem with the fat back seats in my T1. Worse on the driver side so I wonder if the wooden frame has lost some tautness. Best result I've had is to slightly loosen the bolts which hold the lower seat rails to the floor, slide in the seat fully, then tighten up the lower bolts...

Re: Porsche COA
Glad I don't have a Lamborghini; "prized certificates of authenticity, which cost up to €10,000 (£8900)"
Second thoughts, I think I could live with a Periscopo Countach without the COA

Re: Not Deutschen, but an air-cooled Klassiker
My Dad dug it out the back of his garage when we bought our house - he used to do gardening jobs in the evening with it to make a little extra money. I change the oil every year and have changed the spark plug, but otherwise it's reliably been mowing the lawn for 15 years - impressive as the lawn is...

Not Deutschen, but an air-cooled Klassiker
Fired up the mighty Suffolk Super Colt for a few carbon monoxide soaked laps of the garden. I expect the neighbours are missing the early morning sound of air-cooled what with no car events this summer, so they're probably glad the silencer fell off a couple of years ago https://i.postimg.cc/0ysNzRj...

Re: Looking for my first 356
Importing a car from the US is pretty straightforward. If you go this route I'd recommend a pre-purchase inspection by someone stateside who knows 356s as values fluctuate wildly depending on rarity, condition and originality (unlike asking prices which are high irrespective of condition and origina...
