Re: 915 gearbox magnesium cover plate
Hi Matt, I do have a magnesium cover which has little corrosion. It does not have studs attached although it will take a stud in each hole albeit that there is not full thread on 2 of the holes. I think you would want to use an insert if that is possible, but look at the pictures attached. I have no...

Re: O/T - Der uber-shed
I bought my lift from BHRepairs Ltd in Mansfield, they also sell on EBay. Bill the owner says that other similar lifts are not of the same standard and he does check that his operate and are filled with oil. The closed height appears to be 140mm, although I have read that you need 180mm to have full...

Re: O/T - Der uber-shed
After long deliberation I bought one of the scissor style lifts that look a bit precarious at first glance, but are actually very solid and you can do most tasks. I considered the drive over style, but thought it would require too many ramps to clear the underside of my 911. I use scaffolding boards...

Yes it is a very sad loss of an extremely knowledgeable and principled man. Porsche motorsport will certainly be worse without him.

Re: 8000 rpm/300 bhp 3.2 rebuild
I think the Venturi are PMO design not Weber. The jets are mainly the same as Weber and easily obtained. I bought a set of Venturi from Tuthills a few years ago and they did have spares in stock at the time, they should know if PMO are still in business.

Re: 8000 rpm/300 bhp 3.2 rebuild
Well done Graham, really pleased that you have got it running. You should be really satisfied that all of your engineering work has been successful! The ignition will come together soon. I think you have mentioned that your original distributor was off a 2.7 engine and I guess Mike’s is probably a 3...

Re: 8000 rpm/300 bhp 3.2 rebuild
Sorry to hear about your issues, hope they can be resolved without having to return your ignition system back. If not then I can confirm that the Emerald ecu does seem to work well on a 3.2. Apart from loading the software onto an elderly laptop mine was set up entirely on the rolling road. Emerald ...
