Thanks, John

What a charming and delightfully English country set-up you have there. Looks like Toad and Ratty could stop by at any moment to survey your progress. Toot Toot! John

Re: Don't get angry: claybaring?
I was a late adopter to clay bar, silly of me as usual to be such a pill. Isn't the artist Tim Layzell running a Vixen in an historic race series now? ie Goodwood. I think there was an article in past twelve months, either Octane or C&SC, if of interest.

Inspired choice to Italianize those wheels but refinishing them au naturel.
I was going to guess ATS, but would have been incorrect.
I remember as a kid (1970's) that even Italian lorries had interesting wheels which looked rather like radial aero-engines.

Welcome.
I will look forward to learning/seeing more about your 912. Mysterious looking shop it came from.
Best, John

Re: I didn't know this ...
I came to the US in 1981 as a 15 year old from Bristol. Re. the matter at hand: these are private developments, condominium associations. A drive around any American area, coast-to-coast and especially in between, will show you more freedom than you'd ever want to see, and it's often not good: old c...

I wonder what was wrong with the R16, and if the road service fellow was able to remediate the problem? Great photo. John

I too like your fuel strainer fix. I'm doing an 87 924S with a very contaminated fuel system; once removed from the tank, the filtration mesh just fell apart. The parts for this car are gobbling cash like nobody's business... I'd imagine something similar to your fix. May I ask, how fine is that SS ...
