Re: 914 restoration project

Sorted.. got a 1975 1.8 Laguna Blue Californian car in very solid condition. Interior needs redoing but running well on original FI. AC is VPC and needs reconnecting and recharging. Will probably need a respray too due to the a number of dings and minor surface rust. Lots to do so going to be busy ....

Re: 914 restoration project

Thanks guys... the search goes on. I've been in touch with Kev and Angus and got some great advice. I'm well aware of the restoration process and all the parts searching/fabrication is all part of the fun. Final value is never a major concern although you have to remain sensible throughout. Just lov...

Re: 1973 911 E RHD - Gemini Blue

Hi Tom
Happened to see the car at George's when it still had the dark seats in and wondered what the lighter blue dash was all about.
Can see now.... Looks fabulous with the plaid. Have fun!

So guys where would be the best place to find a 914 project ?
I've finished one or two Porsche restorations in the past and fancy getting into a 914 now.

Re: Noisy front diff C4

I'm in the process of buying the car and the pre purchase report from the specialist lists the front diff as noisy.
I'm just trying to quantify future expense.
New complete diff is apparently £2800 + vat from Porsche.

Noisy front diff C4

Hi Guys
Noisy front diff on a 1995 C4... can it be refurbed with new bearings or is the only solution replacement?
Cheers

Re: Interior light door switch

Success!! Manage to get a good view of the task in hand utilising a small endoscope purchased on ebay (£13) and manipulating a wire through from the door pillar hole and fishing for it with an adapted coat hanger wire. Not easy, so be very careful when replacing door switches..... keep a hold of tha...
