Re: Replacement fuel tank

I have a Dansk tank in mine, fit is fine, You just need to paint it prior to fitting to factory spec or you own. As far as I understand the, the main difference is that the Dansk tanks don't have the internal filter. But when was the last time someone replaced the screw in tank filter? Plus you have...

Re: 1987 3.2 Carrera Backdate project - Sladeys hotrod

Isn't the number one cause of laid up 3.2 non-starts gummed up injectors? Could it be that the Canems unit pulse width isn't wide enough to open the blocked injector, whereas holding the injector to ground does? I realise you tested this with the noid LED, but I would revisit that. When we grounded...

ECU's are repairable Mark, don't see why the Canems one wouldn't be either. Hopefully not a full replacement.

Re: 1987 3.2 Carrera Backdate project - Sladeys hotrod

More thoughts: It could still be an issue with the speed sensors as the ECU needs a signal from them to fire the correct bank of injectors, though we did get continuity at the harness end so the wiring should be up to snuff. As we could log onto the ECU through the software port, I'm not 100% sure t...

Also doubt its your immobiliser, I think it's the same as mine if so it just immobilises the starter motor circuit so it wouldn't even crank if at fault.

Marky Mark. Must be something simples. Dunno if it's any help but I'm free from tomorrow/Wednesday onwards. Happy to pop over and bring an extra head for thinking, can also bring my car if needed to cross reference wiring locations, etc. I've had my engine in and out a couple of times so familiar wi...

Has your doors had the G body/impact bumper style wing mirror holes welded up already?

Also condensers aren't mega money, maybe a different width/height ratio might fit better for your application?

Re: 1987 3.2 Carrera Backdate project - Sladeys hotrod

Didn't Jonny have it mounted the other side of the rear arch, i.e. near the rear light box. Kinda like the oil tank location? The backdate rear bumper/valance might scupper things again as it's not as deep as an IB rear valance, so your condenser might stick out like on the front.
