I only buy the odd thing from Ebay these days and only usually from Ebay shops, who also seem to be on Amazon as well. Generally FB marketplace is what works for me, no charges and you can figure out the quality of the seller/buyer via their profile. Sold 3 cars within hours/hours all at asking pric...

Couple of these and bit of 15mm copper pipe with a a smear of Fernox LS-X to help seal the grooves up.

There must be a compression fitting option to get the car up and running until repair funds are available.

You will have to properly clean up those ends and try and remove the grooves also ensuring no contamination gets inside.

Also you can access the plate from the rear arches. There should be a cover over them to prevent crud ingress, might be worthwhile giving them a blast from the back and you'll also be able to see the state of the plate itself. If it's rusty then it'll probably crumble up if you put too much pressure...

The smoke clears pretty quickly when happens occasionally and isn't really an longevity/wear issue. Just seems a slightly spendy solution to a very minor problem. Just my uneducated opinion though :)

Make sure you haven't got loads of stupid 3rd party virus checkers constantly running. Windows own virus stuff is ample for almost all home users. Best thing to do is save off all your data, photos, files, etc onto an external drive then reformat the HD and clean install Windows and then just add so...
