John pennies just dropped, seen your car adertised can't understand why it hasn't gone yet. The guy I sold to resold I believe for £28 ish so he was happy but the present owner is very greedy Legands have it SOR. Cheers Tim

Thats right John, to be honest I don't think the car is worth anything like that as you say hasn't got the 2.7 BW engine and most of the £60k history is for bodywork virtually after every race!!! Regards Tim

Thanks for your comments it's just as I thought. Sold mine at wrong time got mid twenties for it a year ago a dealer now has it up for £45!! :cry:

RS REPLICA PRICES

I'm ashamed to admit that I havn't logged on as much since I sold my RS replica 12 months ago, but I can't believe the sums being asked for genuine 1973 reg'd replicas upto £45k !!! Do they make this sort of money now?

Barry, I think what happens is the constant pressure squares the cylinders and pads to disc.

The problem was the brake pedal was long but did pump up and hold pressure. It was suggested that I tried the following, pump pedal till firm and hold down, then wedge it in that position, in my case overnight. I used a piece of timber from the steering wheel to front of seat and another from pedal ...

Thanks Brendan and Tim, I have taken it for a good run and apart from a long pumpable pedal the car pulls up nice and squ and did improve, but I shall overhall the MC on Monday, I'll keep you posted. Cheers Tim

Thanks Tim. yes I had to double check but yes the nipples are at the top. Do you think it could be the master cylinder, it's a 19mm dual circuit type but I'm not losing any fluid. :?: :?: Cheers Tim

Bleeding brakes! SIMPLE CURE

Just overhauled front calipers and fitted new pads, have bled rears and then fronts but still have long pedal, but it does pump up and holds pressure. can anybody suggest what to try next. :scratch: :scratch: Cheers Tim.
