https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53579914357_f306d6ff80_c.jpg Ha! I was probably 50m from you when you took that! The Rothmans splittie passed me when I was by the cinema. Any one got a picture of the Brumos splittie? Saw it at Calais side of the tunnel on Sunday but as I'd been driving for ages...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

After the excitement of a cooked rotor arm, (thanks to all on the CLM group for the emotional support and pointers!) Three new non resistor rotor arms to keep the MSD happy and a spare cap to replace the spare cap that went on to the 911. New Clewett HT leads on the way from Pelican Parts, (suspect ...

Re: 123 Distributors

Yup so far so good. I've found the key to extracting the benefit from the MSD is spark plug gapping. (Currently 1.1mm) And for the 123 ac fair amount of trial on finding the curve that works best for you. I've all of the curves I've used documented and at the moment mine looks like the average of th...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Much the same in the 996, changed all of them but then it has just nudged on to 180,000 miles and no record of them being changed before (or the IMS for that matter)

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

I am bound to say have one! It made the whole event easy, and at £35 nothing in the cost of a Euro trip. The nearest OPC is an hour away, but doubt they would have one in stock. I am not in a remote place but if you were and facing a non English speaking garage owner in a village...no fun in that. ...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Concerned that the sole remaining Bosch rpm transducer in Europe wouldn't arrive in time for LMC as DHL was showing it was stuck in Germany. I went to Porsche yesterday and bought the only one they had and so was waiting for it to be delivered to them from their central warehouse. That of course mea...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Timely advice... Going to be going around Wales post LMC in the Boxster so it wouldn't hurt to have one handy

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

As it's LMC next week...... busy, busy... Repaired the cup holders (not the ally ones, the 3D printed ones from T911) fixed and now adjustable Properly dealt with the elastic in the passenger door pocket. Located an issue in the RPM transducer and found the last remaining new Bosch replacement on th...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

It's a very tense moment when you realise that something so small is about to royally screw up your day.
Glad it worked out

Re: 123 Distributors

I'll DM you.... Some quite extensive testing post install and have findings in a Google sheet which are set within the upper and lower limits of the factory specified ignition curves. Installation is easy, resetting the Bluetooth is a dubious process. What their thin documentation doesn't tell you i...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

In the spirit of the 75th. Last week got an invite to have the car inside the local Porsche garage, where in exchange I was allowed to abuse their BBQ and bar, and even got a goody bag too (obviously they hadn't been counting the trips to the BBQ!) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230613/980d83af3...

Re: Porsche 2.7 JE pistons

Interesting and timely thoughts.
At some point in the future I'd like to up the 140 hp the 73 T/E has but without getting into the changing of the cams or MFI space cam and had found various snippets on Pelican of doing this with B and P only.
