Re: 2.2 T fuel pipes

You would think so but this has 2 to the front and 1 to the rear. Here's the pump that's on it, I want to replace it with a cheaper pierburg one in one out pump as webers don't need a return line when push comes to shove. I just need to work out which one to block off. This car had webers as deliver...

2.2 T fuel pipes

2.2 t on webers. 2 pipes to front (presumably 1 for supply 1 for return) plus 1 to rear to feed the webers. The 2 that go to the front are of different diameters. Is the supply the bigger of the two or is the bigger one the return line :?: :?:

Re: Austin 7 specials!

My favourite all time mod is a7 related. As we know it's a 2 bearing crank. To allow it to rev to some unholy rpm they grind the cases out which stops the unsupported middle of the crank which must be going bananas (shaped?) knocking the cases. Simples...

Re: Engine change and DVLA pitfalls: advice

I often wondered if dvla retains the information recorded on the registration document prior to any changes previous owners made to them and recalls them upon the request of the current registered owner:?: It's academic really, but if for example you wanted to know whether your vehicle had been colo...

Re: V5 - Engine swap help!

Back in the 80s I had an oval which had a 34hp 1200 fitted. Original 30hp engine came with the car. So I rebuilt and re fitted it. Just filled in the changes section on log book sent it off and it came back with the original engine serial number on the log. Since then I always wondered if dvla track...

Changing flexi fuel pipe at rear of 911T

Wondering what it's like to change the flexible fuel pipe at the rear of a 1970 911 T. I remember a specialist who when referring to an mfi car said it was difficult/impossible with the engine and box still in due to limited access. But that car is a different arrangement, I think it would have 2 fu...

Re: RIP Tony Dron

In the old days pcgb used to hold their annual bash at a uk circuit. One year they held it at Thruxton. The main racing event was the intermarque series race. Tony was racing a highly modified db4 in this 2 driver endurance race. He streaked away from the pack. I stood just by the chicane before the...
