Probably a good idea to re-bush the pedal assembly and get a replacement throttle pedal. You're always welcome to take a look at my car for comparison.
Cheers

Sounds pretty normal to me too. Those Webers probably need setting up. Sounds like they're spitting back which suggests some throats are running a bit lean on idle circuit. 911 bottom end is very robust so unless abused doesn't normally give trouble. Can help with setup. Give me a shout if you're st...

Re: Near side 911 silver anodised door frame
Got one in the shed that I've been tripping over for years
.
It's not perfect, and missing a couple of screws but you can have it if it helps you out. Or make a donation to DDK charity if you like.
PM your email address and I'll send photos.
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for the advice everyone, I appreciate that.
Vapour blast and chromate it is then. I'll look into getting it done.
Kind regards,
Chris

Fan Housing
Hi All,
Can anyone suggest where to get my fan housing tidied up? It's been painted in the past, so I guess it needs stripping and clear anodizing??
Thanks,
Chris

I've got a spare pair of safety collars if you need - ordered two pairs by accident. Yours for £20 incl postage.

Re: Hydraulic Tensioners on 2.0 Motor
Many thanks for the information and offer to share info from Wayne Dempsey's 101 projects book. I'd forgotten I owned a copy of Wayne's How to Rebuild and Modify Porsche 911 Engines, and it also advises swopping the chain housings on '65 to '67 cars in order to use the pressure fed tensioner kit. I ...

Re: Hydraulic Tensioners on 2.0 Motor
The tensioners I've got are part 901.105.519.0R. So don't look to be the 930 type??
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Hydraulic Tensioners on 2.0 Motor
Thanks Brendan,
Think it's the 930 type tensioners that are already in there. The ones with the oil bleed screw.
Cheers

Hydraulic Tensioners on 2.0 Motor
Hi, I've rebuilt the tensioners and fitted safety collars on my 2.0 engine but would really like to do the pressure fed tensioner upgrade. However, the available kits look to be for later engine chain housings, having more cover studs than on my early engine. Does anyone know, can the hydraulic tens...

Re: Powdercoat Removal
Many thanks for the replies everyone. You've convinced me blasting is the way to go. I'll appeal to whoever does it to be as gentle as they can. I did consider the wire brush method but it barely makes an impression on the power coat which has adhered very well to the frame and cured really hard too...

Powdercoat Removal
Hi, Wondered if anyone has good experience of the best way to remove powdercoat from a tubular chassis. The chassis has had some corrective brazing work done, hence the existing powder coat has burnt off in places. I want to get the whole thing stripped now for either painting or re-coating. Seems l...
