If you can establish serial comms with the ECU the microcontroller “brain” is not 100% fried. It may have lost the two output channels used for the injection pulses but perhaps just the high current semiconductors that amplify the microcontroller output. It should be repairable, in that situation. ...

Yes that’s what I’m hoping - I mean it was functioning well when I logged into it so hopefully if there is any damage it won’t be too much - at the moment it’s more a question of how quickly they could do anything
