Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......

Today I gave the GT rep its first wash and its first decent drive in over a year. Heartbreaking to say it… this car will be up for sale soon. Off to Jaz this week for a service, tune up, and comprehensive going over, and then I’ll be considering how and where to sell. I shouldn’t have washed it of ...

Re: 911 hot rods..where are they money wise today?

Interesting. The aris was the wife's idea. The spec is really nice on paper and looks good and interesting. One of the plans looking forward in life is to sell everything and buy a Yaris as the all round car. She has a delightful Skoda Citigo Monte Carlo for the run around, I would need something f...

Re: 911 hot rods..where are they money wise today?

Indeed! I'm sure the Wanted advert is sincere and a co-incidence otherwise he may have approached me directly. The Boxster is mostly the problem. The allure of going on a trip in it rather than the 911 has eroded the '911 need'. However, too many things happening and getting to the end of 33 years ...

Re: LHD '70 2.2E tangerine

This was the same one which was up for sale at Historics recently https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2020-09-26/cars/ref-23-1969-porsche-911e-22-litre-mrp/ That's interesting, anyone know what it was bid to? I seem to remember it was in the 60s. I was following it as there aren't too many ...

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

Non matching dash top, seats, carpet, door cards/lower dash, etc. In fact the original ad says it’s a brown interior (?) so nothing matches. Lid hinges. Love sepia brown but that is one mixed up 73. Regards Mike OK so it’s a mixed up ‘73 but not a bitsa car......and I admit that I do like it. Is £5...

Try Williams Crawford as they had one for sale recently? Think the car had been sold through them a couple of times so I can imagine they would know details of the model very well.

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

Quite a few of these on CC at the moment. I was discussing this with someone recently and it seems like a peculiar place to sell a classic where the ability to due diligence the car is not available. Great if you land a bargain (the achieve prices seem to be about 5-10% below market) in good conditi...

Re: Looking for my first 356

I have seen the one at Williams Crawford. Spent a bit of time looking at it actually and Adrian spent an age talking about it even though it wasn't the car I was looking to buy! It's not original but it's in decent condition and looks like a lot of fun. It's not to everyone's taste and may offend so...

Re: Not seen this type of fire extinguisher before ...

I saw Harry Metcalfe endorsing one of these recently in a Harry's Garage video and was going to look this up. If it works as suggested, it's a good idea to have these at home as well as in the car.

Re: New member & 911T

Welcome to Ddk 8) Here's the thread from when 911flyboy brought the car to the UK. https://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=65413 It's also mentioned in the Marketplace thread from around page 9. The only add ons since was a couple of new seats (look great but so far gives me lower back ac...
