Hi Mike, great to have you on board! Reading through the post the items that need attending to sound like typical issues from a car that has been standing around - no show stoppers there. The expensive bits (body/engine) sound great!. the 'dip switch' - do you mean the headlight switch on the dash o...

I've got fairly old Cyrus 3i + PSX-R/ Power & PSX-R amp combo and adding the PSX-R(s) were a superb improvement.

Hi!

I have just had a look at 914 Register Database and it's not registered as a current PCGB owner. It looks very tidy in the photo so assuming it is still in good condition I am sure it must be out there somewhere though it's not a car I can recall coming across before.

Hi Graham, As the transition from idle to main jets occurs at around 2000-3000rpm depending on carb set up and it runs clean on open throttle, i think the issue could be one of the following - Venturis too big: the ratio of 40mm carbs to 37mm venturis is too close. idle jets too small (mixture lean ...

Hi, I don't know if this is of any use, but I have heard of this issue where diameter of the venturis is very close to the overall carb diameter. At low flow rates (i.e idle), there is relatively little flow and thus with very shallow venturis there isn't enough vacuum created to draw fuel out of th...

750lb/ft of torque in a 914!

Liam's thread reminded of this beast - I love these alternative engines - I saw this car a few years ago (never seen it since). check out www.v8914.com the workmanship is nuts - 750ibft of torque from a twin supercharged chevy 350cubic inch motor - in a 914! and best of all it is made in england...
