Re: New 912 Owner - Previously a 993 Owner
Its a real shame you have to sell her! No need for me to comment on the price as I already own one, so I am not in the market to buy unfortunately. :( but it looks like a really cool car and I am sure it will be a great car for somebody. loving the colour!!! Thank you sir! Tangerine is an interesti...

Re: New 912 Owner - Previously a 993 Owner
Hello All, Yes that is my car and I’m very sad to be selling so soon but needs must. I hope that one day, when space and wife permits, I’ll be back! On a side note, Greatworth Classics up in Banbury recently refurbed the Solex carbs - what a difference! Definitely recommend if yours are due a refres...

[SOLD] Porsche 912 1968 (SWB) - Fully Restored [SOLD]
NOW SOLD. For sale is my Porsche 912, LHD, in its original colour of Tangerine (6809), imported from California in 2014. It was sold by VW Pacific in 1968, as recorded on its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. The car was restored prior to leaving the USA at great expense. In addition, the owner ...

Re: New 912 Owner - Previously a 993 Owner
Hi Nick Welcome to the forum You have done no harm with the high octane fuel. Sound to me like you need a tune up, (valve clearance, timing, and carb balancing). The trick to starting when warm is to put you foot on the accelerator flat to the floor. Get yourself a copy of the orange book for all t...

Re: New 912 Owner - Previously a 993 Owner
Hello all! Just did my first 60 mile sprint in her. Solex carbs seem to be quite tempremental - she’s now idling at 1500rpm when hot and power delivery is no where near as smooth as it was. Did I go wrong by filling her with BP ultimate? :-o She also takes a minute or so to start when hot. Turns ove...

New 912 Owner - Previously a 993 Owner
Hello All Pleasure to meet you and thank you for having me. Earlier this week, I said goodbye to my 993 coupe to make way for a 912. I loved the way the 993 looked but it wasn’t giving me what I needed for the couple of hours I would drive it every couple of weeks. So I went off and drove SCs, 2.7s ...
