As Roy said the jet cover seals are the first port of call. The bolt holding the cover gets overtightened, sometimes cracking the cover, so look out for that. I changed the spindles and butterflies in mine and it made a massive difference. Float levels are also important, I set mine on the low side ...

I take it you put some fresh fuel in? Did you check fuel was squirting down the carbs when using the throttle? One thing I had once, the points were not insulated from the dist body....You can get jet cleaners if you can't find a horse

nice car....If the coilovers are an easy fit they maybe worth a try. It would also be good to get some kind of adjustment into the front end otherwise you will be chasing the height you want..... I guess, as your car does not come with beam adjustment, you don't have many options. Custom dropped spindles? Smaller wheels on stock spindles? Adding adjustment to your front torsion tubes? Any pics of your car Aki?

I think it's brown/grey. The connector 'block' is under the dash. If you let me have your email address via Pm I can send you a link to colour diagram.

Peter, I believe the feed for reverse switch comes from fuse number 1, which is powered from ignition switch, you may have the wires on the wrong connectors on the switch, or feed wire is on fuse 2 or 3 which I think are permanent live?? Wow that's long term ownership! I would look at loads of pictures of the various colours and paint it whatever you prefer, I don't think value really comes into it... Can I add Heron Grey into the Mix?!

Personally I think slate grey is played out....I would go for another period A colour. Meissen Blue, Black, Stone Grey? Is your 58 or 59 model year?

It would be worth going to see a few cars in person, PRS seam to have a few at the moment, it may narrow your search for a particular model or year. The three cars you have posted are wildly different cars. Good luck with the search!
