Has anyone had a transmission rebuild recently? Although mine works fine, it is very noisy in 3rd and 4th and it will need some work at some point. If your into 356's there is an excellent book 'Porsche 356 made by Ruetter' Author Frank Jung who i think is a Porsche archivist.

Can you slide the seat out Neil, see if any of your bolts are loose? I take it the base is cockeyed as well as the back?

Wouldn't that part from Farnell work if the ball bit could screw into it? I'm thinking that would be any easy bit to make if you know someone with a lathe Neil??

I thought the same till I found this info.I don't think these are modified.. I have some 68T heads which are 32/32.
There is also a Y stamped on the casting that is supposed to mean a special alloy or something. Be good if someone has a use for them whatever they are. Cheers Simon
