To be fair there is lots of shipping problems at the moment, we are experiencing similar delays. The cost of a container went from 3000 dollars to 10000. Then the canal blockage didn’t help !

Re: OT: land/property/building expertise

To begin with I would forget the type and design of house, the planning may have some say over this. The hard part will be finding a plot, if it as planning consent then great, however this adds substantial to its value. If it hasn’t, before any money exchanges do some homework. Remember if the vend...

Re: Membership to PCGB

Well I am sickened by the kind of people spouting vitriol on the forum (mainly in favour of the current Board) - if these reprehensible individuals represent Porsche ownership, then it is not for me. To that end, after 10 years of passive participation, I am now actively looking to exit the Porsche...

Re: Membership to PCGB

While I am not a club person by nature, and not overly interested in the new stuff. It’s my experience of the events that I have attended, there is just as many aircooled as our water brothers. The mag, I could live without it, yes it’s an advert for Porsche, but that’s to be expected, having put a ...

Re: Minor Service Cost on Porsche 997 C4S - Staggered!

Finding reliable Car repairs in my experience is becoming more problematic as I have heard more and more story’s of once excellent indies, with either the main man retiring with the new incumbents more concerned with art and grooming or the realisation that several oil and filter changes a day gener...

Re: Living a 993 nightmare

Meant to add, I have purchased several air cooled Porsche’s, a couple with warranties, just serviced, runs perfectly. Everyone as required money spending on it straight away. The warranties have never covered anything that I have found wrong. A used car dealers service can be anything from a full bl...

Re: Living a 993 nightmare

If the car is not to far from the dealer you bought it off, I would be tempted to have it transported to them. They may cover their own warranty, in which case receiving a call from a Porsche main dealer asking them in effect to pay for the work, may be a little to much.

Re: Williams Crawford Porsche and MCE porsche

But having unwinnable arguments on social media is how I relax after a full day of being lazy at work. Don’t know, you would have ask the wife, what’s mine is hers and what’s hers is hers. But to put it in prospective, you have Mike MCE,engineering degree, worked in engineering design for top end m...
