Re: W.T.B 356 Parts 196-1965
If you still need it I have a perfect Dashboard top, it is a new one made by Trevors Hammer Works in the US. It's also been powdercoated to help kill off any future corrosion issues. The part is shown the link https://www.356panels.com/dashboards.html

Re: Where is Roy's thread on removing the starter?
Just wanted to share in the warm messages about Rob from Broadway Electrical. Rob built me two 6 volt starters and also 1 6 volt dynamo. He was a genuine font of knowledge for all things Bosch automotive electrical thanks to his many years as a bosch main agent from the 60's. I doubt there is anyone...

6 Volt Starting
Ok so it must be at least 3 months since someone banged on about deathly slow 6 volt starter motor issues so I'll reboot the conversation. I just changed the starter bush in my car as a bit of a last resort. I fully restored my car, it has a new wiring loom, hot wire from battery to start, voltage r...

Re: HOW MANY SPEEDSTERS IN UK?
Mike and Paul have a fantastic database of the 356 production with a particular focus on RHD , It's destined to be published one day - I'd buy it for sure!!.
I read that AFN only supplied 3 RHD speedsters in the UK.

Re: Any 356 for sale ?
Lots of good advice in this thread. Personally, I've drove an A for a while, then had a little time out before buying a tatty RHD 356c. The C is a better drive than the earlier cars, but the A and Pre A's are a cooler and purer bit of design. I ended up restoring my 'tatty' c. I'd only planned to we...

Re: TV175
I have a Lambretta TV175 ( and a TV200 ) they are beautiful looking machines. I think a lot of us 356 folks have a soft spot for the scooters from the same era, they share the same principles - Aerodynamic design, small capacity air cooled engines which are a old git to start if you don't use them r...

Re: Headlights like candles??????
Hi, There was a good post back at the beginning of the year on this topic titled '356 LED bulbs' which would be worth reading. I assume your car is 6 volt? This was my post on the topic before I bought a pair of the LED headlight bulbs from http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com, they look like a...

Re: Tyre recommendations for a 356A
Hi,
I guess tyres are a personal choice but I favour the Mitchelin XZX tyres. Longstone tyres have a great website ( and can sell you the tyres)
https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classi ... e/356.html
They drive nicely but also look period.
Cheers
Pete
