Re: '66 912 resurrection

That steering wheel is ace must be upside down, but just right! On my Lola/Porsche race car I simply vent the crank case to a small screen washer bottle with the pipe through the screw on top and a simple 10mm vent hole so there is not pressure build-up. Works a treat, cheap and you could adapt any...

Re: '66 912 resurrection

Well I guess this is overdue an update. All I’ve done really is drive it, and drive it some more going further afield each time - I now feel about as confident with her as I’m going to and she done a 200 mile round trip to Players Classic show at goodwood. The horrifically agricultural exhaust has n...

Hi, a friend of mine has a set - I’m messaging on his behalf as he can’t access his account to message you. If you pop me your contact details in a PM I’ll get you connected.

Re: '66 912 resurrection

Thanks Graham, I have been slacking a bit yeah haha. Believe it or not apart from speed humps and some severe cambered areas it clears fine - and drives brilliantly because it’s lowered the right way. It made 232 at the hubs which on a stock cam and the worst exhaust in history (next task) I didn’t ...

Re: '66 912 resurrection

A busy summer of work meant little time for garage shenanigans, but bits and bobs have been happening - firstly a set of filters to prevent any small animals being hoovered up https://i.ibb.co/3fdftr0/93-E0834-E-6486-4121-A181-066-A683-B69-A4.jpg And after a run in period, a visit to a local Canems ...

Re: '66 912 resurrection

Well if it’s one thing this whole lockdown thing allowed is plenty of time in the shed. This means 6 months of evening procrastination was converted to a full week of focus. The hydraulic clutch setup was finished, brakes bled and a list as long as your arm finished. Still loads of odds and sods to ...

Re: '66 912 resurrection

All looking good :thumbright: I've been using a Canems ECU with my 2.5 twin-plug for a few years now and it's been absolutely brilliant, it does everything any other system offers at a fraction of the price and has been rock solid with regards to performance and reliability. Support wise David can ...

Re: '66 912 resurrection

Cheers, I might mention it to them. In the grand scheme of things not long till road time but still lots of time consuming jobs to do - most significant being joining the accelerator pedal to the throttle linkage on the ITB's which sounds simple enough if you say it fast but I think it might give me...

Re: '66 912 resurrection

Ok here we go. So I battled on with the motronic and all the while in the back of my head had me doubting it. Shoddy loom, 30 year old sensors and an idle bypass valve that looked like it'd been used as a projectile at some point didn't fill me with confidence. So one day I just thought sod it and p...
