Re: Modern GT/RS - Which one?

As vic says ref expensive to get lots of power out of a 993,one sensible way though if its pre vario,is a larger throttle body from fvd,and a remap by wayne can tickle 300.Then loose a 100kg like i did on my rs which can get more expensive. Have to say having had a boxter spider for two days as a cu...

Re: 1974 IROC Race

Ah I think you misunderstood what I said! Perhaps I didn't use the best terminology. I was watching the way the cars rolled, ducked and bounced, in comparison to the single seaters that some of the drivers would have been used to. The racing is absolutely brilliant! Only thing missing on them is th...

Re: 1974 IROC Race

Ah got it,yes agree,if you aint lifting a front wheel and sliding the back,it aint fast enough!
Some of the drivers must have wondered what they let themselves into :)

Re: 1974 IROC Race

What do you mean not proper racing, all even cars, driver swop cars at each race, real racing unlike f1 and other nonsense. As fittapaldi showed the cars are more of a challenge than most cars.
Part of the attraction of racing a 911 is its handling and the best grip out of a corner. :)

Re: 1974 IROC Race

Only thing missing on them is the duck tail, wonder where they all went.
Good close racing unlike historics today, cheating 2.0ltr swb cars, overpowered 356,3.8ltr rsr etc etc

Re: 1974 IROC Race

Fantastic! I know of an unrestored IROC car that's had its identity hidden by subsequent mods for racing over the years, which could be for sale. What a car that would be if/when it's restored. Let me know more please kieth,i think they are fantastic cars, would have looked even better if they kept ...

Re: Feroz's Day Off…...

Some great photos there, sounded good fun, wished i could have made it.Good to see all of you waving the early 911 flag. From the 911r imposter/insult we now have a 911t imposter, all very sad really,i bet these later cars are not so much fun and amount of required driving concentration for your trip ;...

Duel full exhaust system 2.0 ltr to 2.7 ltr

For sale duel full stainless exhaust system, headers, silencer and bolt on straight through pipe. Its only been used for a dyno session and one hillclimb,i had on the one side a false welded on tail pipe to make it look like a rsr twin outlet, this bit can be removed. Most of the 2.0 ltr 911 racers use...

Re: Hedingham - Classics at The Castle 2017

I thought it was a great event, some quality restorations on show, great to meet old friends, dinner and beer, and icing on the cake 4 hour drive there and 5 1/2 hours back ,although my ears have taken a bit of bashing. More central would encourage some fresh cars,a bit of driving would be good at the e...
