Re: TT ....best motorsport in the world ?

Well done to ITV4 - excellent coverage each evening - and Seniors on Friday! It remains an awesome event but, with a 37 mile circuit, spectators only see a small section of the race, although the speed of these bikes on public roads is phenomenal, especially when there is absolutely no margin for er...

Re: Dilemma

Nice car. I reckon that's a very common dilemma - there will be plenty of people, many on here, who have a car, or cars, in long term ownership that get little use. Sentimentality often discourages the desire to sell, and the recent extraordinary rise in values will have been financially satisfying....

Re: Looking for a 993

I went through this process a year ago. Friend was looking for a 993 Coupe 6spd - said I'd help him as I had a couple of 993s in the '90s. Found myself seduced by the 993's charms and ended up getting one for myself. Best, low mls, cars seem to be around £40k ++, but from my experience find the best...

Re: OT: Land Rover Series search

I've had a new Defender every four years since 1994, and just awaiting delivery of what will be the last of the 'classic' models. I love them all, from S1 to the latest XS, but to live with regularly, I would recommend a later model than an S2 or S3. The post-2006 models, with the right spec and opt...

However, it's not an 'RS'. Fred covered this in last month's PP.

Re: new 991 gt3 rs

My situation is similar to yours and if I had wanted one I would have hoped to be able to get one, but it doesn't particularly interest me.

But who does get them? Enthusiasts, speculators, collectors....?

Re: Would you buy a new 911 given.........

Depends what you want. A new 991 is the consummate GT and still very desirable. But, if I wanted a pure, driver focused, Porsche with road and track potential, then yes - the Cayman GT4 looks like a winner, and makes the 991 GT3 look a bit bloated. The race variant is likely to be in British GT next...

Re: 74 911 Project Basis or Parts Resource

Gus, you forgot to mention your tenure of the G50 3.2, the 993 C2, the 993 C4, the 993 Turbo S, the 996 GT3..........

Re: 74 911 Project Basis or Parts Resource

I've seen the original project 2.2 and looking good - I'm sure a 'running resto' thread will be on here soon.

Good luck with the parts sale.

Re: 993 Rear Bumper?

No, Nigel, there were a couple of minor issues I wanted attending to and Alan at Spraytech nr Cirencester came very highly recommended. But, in the process, he was unhappy about a previous repair to the rear PU and said the only solution was a new, or 'as new', replacement bumper - so I agreed to ge...

993 Rear Bumper?

Anyone got (or know of) a 'new' or excellent 993 rear bumper I can purchase?

I know there's eBay and a few dismantlers, but I don't want to take any chances - it's for a '97 (94-98)Narrow bodied 993.

Need to make a decision fairly quickly

thanks

Unfortunately, success in Motorsport, at almost every level, is determined by how much money you've got :(
