Re: New 914 owner

Hi guys, Many thanks! Darren; I have a feeling we'll see each other soon :-) Dave; front brakes are Porsche Boxster callipers with 3.2 Carrera front discs. Rear hubs are 914/6 and I haven't measured them but I assume they're 914/6 callipers. All pads OK; rears nearly new. Front discs good, rear NS s...

New 914 owner

Hi all, I've recently bought a 914, fitted with a 3.0 SC engine :compress: It's an interesting car: RHD with a build sheet from Porsche saying it was built as such and I assumed it was one of the Crayford cars but the Crayford register don't have the chassis no. on their list. Anyway, I love it and ...

SWB rear 1/4 panel question

Hi all, I'm restoring a 1967 SWB 912 coupe. The rear 1/4 panels are rotten at the back, approx 4 inches above the light housings. The rear screen corners have also gone. I've looked at replacement panels and Dansk don't make a replacement 1/4 panel. The Porsche alternative is £1250 each side- way ou...

Re: Insurance while being restored

Glad to see people using Hagerty- I actually work for them (although not on the insurance side) so I'm biased! I do know they cover all sorts of weird & wonderful things- from individual wheels to rotten shells. Laid up cover is a few quid, wherever you buy it, and it just gives you that peace o...

Re: RHD 912 numbers

Just joined and saw this. You can add my '67 UK-spec HHW137G. SORN, undergoing total resto back into its original light ivory.

It started life as either WGT36G/ WGT37G (the AFN cardex has both!) and then in 1975 had the reg 5599WW (I have tax disc).

New member- '67 RHD

Hi everyone, I was at Bicester yesterday where I had a chat with another 912 owner who pointed me in the direction of this forum, so I thought I'd introduce myself. I have a 1967 model year, UK spec 912. It has 5-speed box, matching numbers etc. I bought it a while ago to restore, and although I sta...
