Re: Porsche v Singer... Bring on the popcorn.

I'm not expert on commercial law, but could it be that a Ruf is marketed as a Ruf whereas Singer was Porsche reimagined by Singer. So essentially they were using the Porsche brand, which I believe has been removed from all Singers marketing material. Or maybe they just like Ruf :)

Re: New Member from Wetherby

Hi Mike, I am pretty sure I have seen your shell over the years with Russell? He restored my car, obviously gutted he went to EB Motorsports. I run the Yorks region of TIPEC, so happy to help or pop along to one of our meets, we have a few classics, mostly watercooled though. I am in Boston Spa. You...

Re: 356 big European Trip

This may be the wrong direction, but when I did a German trip last year, the afternoon before Koblenz were the best roads we drove. We were driving from Speyer (museum could be worth a visit if not done). But if you hit any of these country roads you won't be disappointed. https://goo.gl/maps/zH4YbQ...

First drive in the 912e in 3 months and went well. This photo is inside their workshop.

I wish I could be there, but on the summer family holiday. But wanted to say well done for organising something. Much appreciated.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Went to a breakfast meet organised by York OPC. Nice turnout and was interesting to see these 2 opposite end of the spectrum cars parked next to each other

Re: The DDK Nationals

The only issue with the Scramble is that its a ticket event that sells out quickly, so you may not get everyone there, and unless we could get a dedicated parking area, people are going to be all over the place meaning actually meeting up is more difficult. What about an air museum? As an example th...

Re: Wing Mirror fitment

If you are considering fitting two Durants I personally would not bother. One on the driver's side is fine. Passenger side, on the other hand, is a waste of time in my experience. The Durant mirror does not articulate sufficiently to get good reward vision on the passenger side even locating it in ...

Re: Harry's Garage video and the Electric Car in detail

I watched that too, I like Harry's take on things, he tries to remain unbiaised, but does give you his view on his real world experience. Same with his farm videos, how it can make more financial sense to not grow edible crops in a farm because of the way Government subsidies work is beyond me.

Demo video of Moggie's 912 electric conversion out in Wales. https://youtu.be/sRAP6TgfNXA Although it looks like a great job and the kit is bolt in so should avoid the DVLA issue I still don't get it. Whats the cost of this plus install? £80k and with all Moggy's installs, unless something has chan...

Re: Wing Mirror fitment

The Talbot Berlin has some fore /aft adjustment to the fixing so should be OK for your purposes. interesting the repro's don't. In the end I went for Durants, I was close between them and Talbot style and the price difference is huge and my preference wasn't. Still yet to fit them, a job before spr...
