Since being roadworthy it's done about 1000 miles. Whilst recovering i thought i'd do an oil change for the first time since it's been driving. The sludge was more than i was expecting but the oil was not shining in the light.

I'm looking for the best quality seals, usually red i believe, but all i keep finding are the crappy black o rings.

Re: Windscreen fitting
There a few glass options out there. chinese made ones, pilkington (i was told a 6 week wait) and porsche supplied. I bought the porsche one and fitted it with 8mm butyl tape. I also used clear primer on the screen and the black primer on the framework.
The chrome trim covers the butyl line.

I used adhesive chrome film in mine, invisible until you remove the lense coverrhd racer wrote:Look good Keith.
I used them on the front behind Italian clear lenses and they were very effective, and counteracted the deterioration of the front indicator housings which my platers couldn't redo

Re: Best (cheapest) multicar classic breakdown cover?
we have a policy with rac, two years cover for £118. it covers all of our cars the oldest being 1974. This includes my 2001 transporter. It doesn't include europe but that's £30 for 30 days at a time.
This is for myself and my mrs personally, so whosever car we're in it's covered.
