Caught up with this thread late, apologies. Glad you got it sorted, and if ever you're stuck again, I tune PMO's (and Webers, Zenith, Solex, MFI & CIS) for the road (and track) by ear, eye, hands and right foot (and rolling road if you really want the expense, but that's not the best place for p...

I put a 19mm socket on the crank on Sunday and tried to turn the engine, but I found myself tightening and loosening the pulley bolt instead. Paul at carb.reconditioning@gmail.com did a great job on my 40 idf a few years ago. I think that Mike Champion, on here, might done them too?
