I thought about this for a while for a 912 engine I plan on rebuilding. I am pretty sure , if you look on the Willhoit website he goes though the steps needed to add his kit to a standard case, I do recall machine work to the case will be required. Perhaps you could ask whoever did the work on the 3...

I have rebuilt a RHD LWB one, which is pretty much the same except a different break switch(SWB does not have one on the pedal cluster)
will dig it out in the next few days

hi there I am interested as long as you can confirm the integrity of the exhaust my old exhaust looked ok , but was backfiring due to pin holes could you send me a video of it running if all good how does 115 posted sound? Hi Andrew do the pistons you have have an offset wrist pin as the original Mahle pistons? if they do be careful with their orientation do you have a Pellow book to aid with rebuild? this is a great resource for general maintenance and tolerances if you don't already have it https://www.912bbs.org/fo...

I have a precision matters FF kit, but keeping it for my next project I currently have a shasta FF kit on my engine, they both involve modifying the oil pump area in the 3rd piece, I have instructions for the PM kit somewhere and can dig it out it is not complicated to do, and if you can rebuild a 9...
